about

My friend Henri Thériault from Shippagan showed me the first piece. The second piece is an unexpected discovery. It was on a recording of the Yvet family from Memramcook that I heard this mouth reel for the first time. It would have been played on the violin by Fériole LeBlanc (b. 1881), who is my great-great-grandfather. (1. Reel à bouche à Henri, 2. Reel à bouche à Fériole à Yvet à Dominique à Saindoux)

accompanied by baroque, jazz and traditional arrangements on the piano.
